Shakespeare is a very unique writer, who makes all his readers eager on reading his books. He is a very talented writer who knows how to organize the events of the book and knows how to control the reader’s attention. For example in the tragedy of “Romeo and Juliet.” It is a love story book, but it ends up being a tragedy and a disaster. William Shakespeare told us at the beginning of Romeo and Juliet that they were star-crossed lovers and that they would all die. Even though he told us that they were going to die, we were still eager on reading the book. Humans have this thing called Curiosity. And we can’t stop it. We were curious on knowing how they are going to die, why, and what lead to this. We were curious on knowing each detail, because to us it was surprising knowing that the two main characters were going to die. Shakespeare had a unique way of writing this story. When I first started reading Romeo and Juliet like the first part, were it is told that they die, I didn’t even want to close the book because I wanted to know the whole story, each exact event. Readers are eager on knowing the climax of the story, the unexpected events and how this star crossed lovers lead to death. Romeo and Juliet is a book you can read many times and it will still be interesting. William Shakespeare also includes another strategy to make his book more interesting and unique. Shakespeare writes in almost every phrase in a double meaning, and a lot of symbolism, this makes the book even more interesting. Shakespeare by adding a double meaning to words or adding symbolism, makes some parts or events of the story more interesting, by making the reader think maybe they are not going to die or maybe yes, even though you already know that Romeo and Juliet are going to die. Shakespeare makes the readers have doubt through out the book and then he surprises us with the tragedy. This story is like a domino game. Like one event leads to another, and this is when you can stop reading because you are too eager to know what will happen next. “Romeo and Juliet” it’s a famous play through out the world, Shakespeare’s unique and talented way of writing made it so famous.
